The Swag Coach Story
Hello Swag Community!
We are promo sales reps and distributors just like you (currently active with our own books of business).
We are also business junkies and Kool-aid drinking entrepreneurs, with a thirst for learning and a desire to achieve great success.
We have sold tens of millions of swag to our own clients, and coached/mentored 100’s of promo industry reps and distributors scale their own sales and businesses.
We love coaching and sharing what we have learned (& continue to learn) over our careers. Our experience is pretty diverse … from strategic, question based selling to targeting a vertical (niche) market to selling company stores, we have built multimillion dollar distributorships by leveraging technology and back office systems.
We understand what it takes to proactively drive your promo business and career, and how to prevent it from taking over your life and trapping you. We share these best practices and strategies for success with our Swag Coach community, and the promo industry at large.
In March of 2020, we launched a bi-weekly webinar and podcast series called Distributors Helping Distributors (DHD). The goal … to help promo distributors stay positive, motivated and focused - by providing real value and lessons learned from the topics we discuss and the experts we host each DHD show. We are determined to help distributors and reps in our industry get more sales, be more effective and have more fun. With work and in life!
We are elevating our industry and together, building a community with distributors who are willing to help support one another in what can sometimes feel like a very lonely and isolated profession.
In May of 2020 we launched Small Group Coaching (SGC), an MAS/CAS certified program, providing a coaching and accountability meeting platform for promo distributors in need of sales training, strategy and structure. SGC provides hands-on support, educational workshops and a community of like-minded Distributors, helping our members take their sales and businesses to the next level. To date close to 100 distributors have participated in this program and continue to gain value through the relationships built with our SGC community.
Lastly, we offer 1-on-1 Coaching through our Swag Coach PRO Program, working with a elite group of distributors and providing them with leads, coaching and ongoing support, aligned with one common focus … to scale their sales and grow their business beyond themselves.
Just like you, we still sell on the front line, and have our own clients we service. It’s how we are able to stay relevant and current on industry best sales practices which we bring back to our Swag Coach Programs and community!

We have 20+ years of lessons learned and experience to share. And we have a thirst for learning which keeps us humble, open to new ideas and always working on improving ourselves and our businesses. We are not consultants. We are front line sales pros who learn from our own front line sales efforts and continually incorporate these lessons back into the coaching and mentoring we do with our team. Experiential coaching.

We focus on training up our teammates so we know they can compete with anyone in the business, from newbies to lifers, from large companies to smaller competitors. Training and experience are key and core to our success. The Swag Coach™ Program uses an eleven-module training course, co-developed by a Harvard Business School graduate and award-winning curriculum developer, to teach aspiring small business owners the very same best practices that our Founder, Josh Frey, uses everyday with his own clients while running his own business. From learning about the products and suppliers to building long-term client relationships and processes for selling strategically and profitably.

In a time when so many Americans are underemployed — working beneath their skill and pay grade — and job security is at an all time low — taking the leap of faith from employee to entrepreneur is not as big of a jump as it once used to be (especially since we hold your hand every step of the way, from training to launching to ongoing coaching).
